The 4th Women's World Series was played in Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture, Japan from July 18-21, 2004 at Monoyama Baseball Stadium.

The United States, Australia, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea and India participated.

A record crowd during the day of almost 10,000 fans watched Team Japan defeat the United States 14-4 to win its second consecutive championship.
